Brand New Babylon 5 directed-to-DVD: The lost Tales

10 years. 10 years since the world changed, 10 years I changed. It been like I never left the place. Babylon 5 is the place of begining and ending. I wonder what this will be........~ narrated by John Sheridan, President of ISA.

I preordered this item on Amazon.com months ago and got it in early August. I planned to post my thought after I wacthed it immediately, but I decided to settle my feeling for a while. In this DVD, there are two short stories in parallel, setting in 10 years after the founding of Interstellar Alliance(aka ISA). The first is to deal that Colonel Lockley, commander of Babylon 5 spacestation, encounters a supernatural cricis and the second is about a decision that President Sheridan has to made to prevent the doom of Earth on his way to Babylon 5 to attend the ceremony of 10 years anniversary of ISA. Comparing with the other Babylon 5 TV movies, the last tales doesn't present an action-exiting storyline to catch my eyes due to the finite budget?! maybe........I thought.........I am not sure.

The first story involves two elements: a powerful allien race trapped on Earh or on a poor man and a dialectic usually used in Catholicism. I am familiar with the first element because this material is hot in lots of sci-fi works, especialy in Star Trek and its spin-off series. Therefore, I feel that this story has no innovation and creation......it is a normal sci-fi episode.......I watched a similar work that J. Micheal Straczynski (aka JMS), the creator of Babylon 5, made 10 years ago. Yap! The River of Souls I mention. However, I can not understand the relation betweeen the allien trapped on Earth and so-callled the Catholicism dialectic. On the finale, Lockley told the alien trapped on a man that you can not escape from Earth and walk among the sky because you do not believe the heaven and stars. And guess what? She convinces the alien not to interfere the poor guy whom he/she trepped on. It's so amazong.......! All right! I feel that this one is so~~~~~~~~~~ boring.

The second story is quit simple: onece again, Galen, a member of Technomagic, first appearing on the fifth TV movie of Babylon 5, A Call to Arms, appears and wants Sheridan to kill a key Centauri person if necessary to prevent the doom of Earth. On this episode, JMS uses Adolf Hitler as an example to be a comparison with that Centauri person. It's interesting. JMS tries to tell us - If we took care of Adolf Hitler when he was young, he would not launch the world war II. I do not agree this viewpoint because the reasons caused the WW II are too many. Can we prevent WW II by taking care of young Adolf Hitler? I don't think so. Well! Sheridan makes his own decision but Gaken does not satisfy. And..........the end of the last tales. Actually, the story tells us that a small error may be a big trouble in the future if we do not care about that.

Well! I'd like to say that the Lost Tales presents the quility visoul effect in 3D computer graphic model, such Babylon 5 station, New York city in late of 23 centoury, space ships, and a scence of battlefield between Earth and Centauri. but gives us a normal story telling. If there is another Lost Tales DVD concerning Micheal Garibaldi ans Lando Mollari, JMS has to do more his best to show that he is capable of making an epic, a classical Sci-fi work, Babylon 5.

算我ㄧ份吧！我不夠細心，我在跟女孩子聊天時沒有去問她喜歡啥！沒有去聊她的生活瑣事！沒有去關心她怎樣怎樣又怎樣的！對啦！追女孩子的事情我完全不知道，可以了吧！我不知道追女孩子是這麼累人的事情，可以了吧！我不知道追女孩子不能和交朋友一樣慢慢來，因為沒人會等我ㄧ輩子的！我不知道！我啥都不知道！因為我啥資訊都不知道，所以我當然不知道對方對我的感覺是怎樣！因為我啥都不知道，所以我也不知道我現在做的到底是不是做錯還是白做工！因為我啥都不知道，所以我不知道該給啥驚喜！因為我啥都不知道，所以我很沮喪。因為我啥都不知道，所以被我朋友刮了一頓。對啦！我是畏首畏尾的，我剛剛才認識她，我不想嚇跑對方。因為我不想嚇跑對方，所以我聊的時候不會去問很多有關對方的問題。
是啊！我平常本來就話不多，加上我前一次告白很失敗，所以也沒啥經驗可言。要我打電話跟女孩子聊，我反而不知道該說啥了，表現很笨。對啊！我是很笨，笨在我一點也沒有那種敏銳的觀察力和了不起的衝動，讓我可以靈機應變之下取得許多有關她的資訊。我很笨，不會說話聊天打屁，我目前只會傳簡訊！很笨！不是嗎？但事實就是如此，我很笨，笨到連我朋友交我的技巧也用不好。我很膽小，我也很害怕剛剛認識就常打電話給她會被認為是一種煩人擾人的舉措，所以我盡量不打，但在我朋友眼中卻犯了大忌。我真的很笨，笨到要我朋友用孫子兵法來對我說教：追女孩子要攻心為上。是啊！我這麼笨的腦袋哪會了解這些道理。我真笨！我不知道交女友和交朋友有何差異性，因為在我看來，有一顆真誠的心去交往不是就好了嗎？
很遺憾的，我真的太笨了！笨到我真的很想哭！都活這麼久了，才碰到第二個可以讓我這個笨蛋動心的女孩子，可是我卻笨到不所措，真是笨的可以。我真的夠笨了，笨在我居然這麼懶、笨在這麼沒有作為、笨在想振作都不知該如何是好。我真是笨，笨到連想幫我的朋友都氣的下線了！是啊！我是如此的笨，那乾脆一輩子都別想談戀愛了。我笨到無可救藥了，笨到連這一次機會都無法好好把握？！

Transformers - A movie so sucks I ever seen !

The members of IMDB rates 8.5. That's a big joke. They give a movie only the outstanding visual effect but no subject matter so high appreciation. That's radiculus. Michael bay and his team not only extend the oringinal story and give more deeply interpret but also destroy the all setting in the original animation series-many million years ago, an intellectual being beyond human's imagination lives on a mechinary plenat called Cybertron. The peace on Cybertron is broken by an evil clique called Deciptcon, led by Megatron. The Autobots, lea by Optimus Prime, resists the total domination of Deciptcon til both side exhaust the energy............

On this Michael Bay's Transformers, the energy is not the main issue but insteading of a cube called spark something which has an ultimate power to restore the homeworld of Autobots and Deciptcons or destroy Earth......I do not remeber its name. That's okay to me because the producer has his own vision to reconstruct this old animation. This two hour movie, however, wastes most time to illustrate the US most advanced millitary force, such as F-22, Internet communication, HP laptop computer, A-10 strike fighter....., and tell a teenager's daydream-car, girl, and whatever, but ignore to give more details about the struggle between the Autobots and Deciptcons. I wonder how much money Pentigan donate to let Michael Bay shot this suck movie. Apparently. Micheal Bay does not pay more attention to construct a whole new viewpoint about the war between good and evil. Only few words can convince people how severe the war on Cybertron? No one believes that.

Even though I give up my knowledge about Transformers to watch this movie, I still disappoint with Michael Bay's poor story telling skill and unacceptable storyline about Transformers. Micheal Bay and his people forget that the leading role is the Allien robots, not human being. Why should fans of the oringinal animation Transformers spend their money to go to a theater to watch this movie with dealing no more Transfromers but describing father and son, boy and girl, secret agency and US governmant?

Comparing to his talent of direction on Pearl Harbor, Michael Bay shows his third-rate direction on this movie, except the comedy parts and ILM's special effect. I see no more details about Transformers, no more innovation and interpret that Michael Bay promised, but see a movie without frame and subject-the war among the transformers. Steven Spielberg told the truth on Behind the scene of Transformer and said that this movie is about a family, tellinf the relation between father and son. Yap! To remove the display of US millitary force and family part, this movie remains nothing.

費米子與玻色子

首先感謝這則笑話的創始人--TK大物理系的窮窮翰：由於他長年累月飽受閃光的痛苦，得以靈光乍現，貢獻出這則和量子力學有關的笑話。當然啦！果人po在社版上的笑話是經過潤飾的。這則經過加工的笑話如下：
兩個物理系的學生走在夜間的淡水河畔
只見學生A感嘆道：『眼見之處盡是費米子！』
學生B則說道：「但少波色如吾二人者！」

空姐二部曲

過舊曆年前後看了兩部日劇：Attention Please(甜心空姐或是空姐特訓班，官網在此http://www.fujitv.co.jp/AP/index2.html）和叫我CA（CAとお呼びっ！官網在此http://www.ntv.co.jp/CA/）。這兩劇都是去年的戲，照例，我依然慢了半拍，那些日劇通大概都已經準時收視完畢了＠＠。其中，CA乃英吉利語Cabin Attendant的縮寫，日本人稱空服員為CA，很少說客艙乘務員。就像這裡老愛說空姐空少之類的，卻沒有用較中性的空服員是一樣的道理。

從前，對於空姐的印象是：好漂亮，能吸引眾人的目光，可以天天出國呢！！不過，因為這兩年工作之故，三不五時飛往高雄，加上去年在國外因一點故障在飛機上耽擱數小時之久，讓我有更多的時間觀察空姐的工作，也漸漸發現在光鮮的外表下，骨子裡可是件不容易的事情。加上這兩年男性空服員比例增加快速，所以，在用語上也改成較沒有爭議的空服員。不過，既然今天談的事有關女性空服員的日劇，就還是沿用空姐一詞吧。
Attention Please是去年富士電視台的春季檔日劇，由上戶彩掛頭牌，佐以相武紗季、笛木優子和上原美佐等眾家美女，加上小日向文世與井上順等日劇常客演員送上一則有關女孩們通過重重訓練關卡從而飛向天際的故事。而叫我CA則是日本電視台的夏季鉅獻，由觀月亞里莎率領香里奈等眾家美眉，加上澤村一樹與谷原章介兩大帥哥共譜空姐的異想世界。可惜的是，由於叫我CA的播映時間在Attentiion Please之後，以致於相類似的題材無法吸引觀眾的注目，導致叫我CA的平均收視率只有Attention Please的一半；但是，收視率低可不代表叫我CA不好看。
雖然兩劇的重點都是空姐，也都是由漫畫所改編，但是，基本調性上還是有些差異在。Attention Please由於有Japanese Airlines（JAL）的全力支援，所以該劇特強調空服員的養成和所應具備的基本態度與知識，藉由美笑洋子（上戶彩飾演）的誇張搞笑和反省思索讓觀眾見識到空服員是一個高度嚴肅且專業的職務，並非只是一般人眼裡在空中端茶的女侍。反觀叫我CA，除了呈現進入空服員職場後的無奈並反映出日本現今約聘人員的工作現象外，其實還加入挺多一般人對於空姐的浮面觀點，例如喜歡聯誼、高收入代表、喜歡多金帥哥、把空服員當釣凱子的利器等等，算是兼顧世俗與職場觀點。但是，這兩部戲還是有許多雷同之處，比方說姊妹淘之間的情誼（美笑洋子-若村彌生-關山有紀；山田紗依-田中惠-菊池優花）、曖昧不明的感情關係（洋子或彌生與中原翔太；紗依和機長高岡真）、空服員的基本素養論戰等。
從兩劇的女演員陣容來看，很難說誰比較豪華，但就畫面的呈現上來說，叫我CA可就略勝一籌，我看光是香里奈（飾演萬人迷的菊池優花）一人大概就可以打死一票Attention Please裡面的空服員訓練生演員。可是，就播出後的效應上來說，Attention Please可就比較吃香了，因為裡面飾演若村彌生的相武紗季可被JAL選為機身的塗裝廣告（雖然我一直想不通為何不是上戶彩）。
Attention Please算是我第一部觀賞上戶彩的戲，之前也曾聽聞她的網球甜心與女排No.1，可就是沒興趣瞧上一眼。大概是因為空姐的題材罷？！我倒是本本分份的把它全部看完，發現其實上戶彩的演技還不賴，人長的甜甜的卻挺會搞笑的，表情很豐富，看起來，我可以考慮看看她的戲了。至於叫我CA可不是我第一部觀賞觀月亞里莎的戲了，雖然我一直很主觀的認為仲間由紀惠在詮釋少根筋美女和喜劇的表現上達出神入化之境，但看過本劇一後，我只能說：脫線傻大姊一角非觀月莫屬。山田紗依這角色，要危險姊姊的伊東美笑來演可就怪怪的，仲間由紀惠來的話可就完全走味。
雖然這兩部戲難分優劣，我個人倒是覺得可以將他們做一種橫向觀賞，如果你之前看過松島菜菜子的大和拜金女，那不妨也順便把這兩部給一併觀賞，這樣，你會發現世俗的觀點和職場的觀點到底有多大的差異性。而下回你再有機會見到這群漂亮的空姐時，你會或多或少產生些許敬意或願意重新評估對空姐的看法，那也就不枉費看電視了。

說故事

我不太喜歡說故事，尤其是自己的事。因此，通常在與人對談當中，我都站在聽眾的角色上，聽人家說。雖然，我還是會在對話中回應，但是，那比例並不多。不喜歡說故事的原因很多，比方說：自己的日子很乏味，除了工作就是家裡，鮮有趣事可言。又比方說：我對自己過去的事情並不怎麼懷念，也沒有啥可以值得記憶吹牛的事跡。著比這麼說：總感覺我喜歡的東西冷門，看的書也冷，冷到一塊去了，乾脆閉嘴。但是，最有可能的原因是：我覺得說故事就像把自己掏出來給人家看，也許不會有啥不良反應。但是，要是不小心自揭瘡疤，苦的大概會是自己。因此，我很排斥說自己的故事。

聖誕節前夕的前夕

與其說談這個是要表示我有多不在乎所謂的聖誕節，倒不如說是我想借題發揮:我有多在乎聖誕節..........禮物！當然，首先我要推崇商人的宣傳和企劃手法:可以把聖誕節或是所謂的聖誕節前夕包裝成浪漫美妙的時光。其次，我要感謝日劇和日動畫作品的荼毒，讓我知道沒有女伴和禮物的聖誕節前夕是有多悲哀的事情。最後，就是我真的很想要一個禮物。當然啦！都這麼老了，跟人家伸手要禮物實在是件可恥的事情，所以只能心裡想。可是，想久了，總是會生病的！就乾脆趁這個機會抱怨一下吧！啥！要我用英文寫抱怨文？可是，我很久沒用英文寫部落格了，只怕一時寫不出來。
雖然行憲紀念日不放假了，大家也忘了當年寫出這部憲法的是何許人也，可是，就因為這一天和西方的聖誕節重疊，這意義可能就不太相同。所以，就算十二月二十五日不再是國定假日，大家也一定會找足理由讓自己在前一天玩樂一番，縱然第二天原本不屬於中國人(是中國人且是基督徒，那就名正言順了)。反正，只要能夠玩樂，啥撈什子的理由都可以。當然，小鬼們可就不管那麼多了，有免錢的東西可拿總是讓人感到期待的，這種期待可是不分地域和年齡的，我也一樣啊！至於我有沒有拿過聖誕節的禮物咧？！應該有啦！但那已經是很久以前的事情了，但不是從那個穿紅衣紅帽黑靴蓄白鬍的外國老爺爺手中，是我爸媽啊！所以，有沒有聖誕老人這碼人物，在我心裡早有定見。
大概是念了研究所之後，我才了解到，在日本和這裡，小小的台灣島上，以及其他有相同信念的地方，聖誕節前夕和情人節當晚可以劃上等號噎！這真是和我的認知有很大的出入:難道聖誕節不是為了慶祝耶穌誕生的嗎？曾幾何時，這個節日已經變質成這種德行了。更讓我討厭的是，我越來越相信這種變奏！這真是褻瀆聖誕節啊！我居然會有這種不當的思想，真是該接受思想改造啊！可是，轉個念頭，抱持這種想法也沒啥大不了的，既然是要玩樂，這種藉口也是不錯的？！只是，我根本沒這種機會啊！所以啦！希望能夠得到個禮物便成為我每年都會懷抱的妄想。還真是妄想咧！
再來，我想，也不會有人找我去參加啥聖誕節派對的，反正一直都是如此，我又不是啥交遊廣闊的人，自然也不會有這種事情落在我頭上。就算有我認識的人前去參加這種活動，大概早就完全玩瘋了，也不會想到我，我的存在就像Keroro軍曹裡的Dororo兵長一樣。反正，好事輪不到我，壞事可就一狗票了。認了吧！我沒有這種命。還是繼續做我的禮物妄想好了，期待有一天有哪位仁人君子可以滿足我的怨念，那可真是感激不盡。
啥！你問我有沒有送人啊？要得到前總要先付出啊？！這............有過啦！次數只有那麼一回而已。所以仔細想想，沒有禮物可拿也是理所當然的。要怎麼收穫要先怎麼栽啊！！這句話可真有道理，一下子就把我給打醒了！！！可是，我已經沒有勇氣再送第二次了。真的！啥？你問為啥？那是另一個故事了，但是，我不想說這個故事，那是我個人的私事，沒啥好說的，就這樣！不過，每年聖誕節前夕，我總是會做一件事情，雖然今年我對於做這件事情感到很猶豫，不過，既然事情已經過去了，那也不需要再多想了。我想，這一件事情我還是會一直做下去吧！哪怕是我真的想不開也好，亦或是給遠方的祝福，這件事情讓我覺得比收禮物的意義更大。所以，我想每年聖誕節的前夕，禮物的妄想會持續，而這件每年必做的事情也會繼續下去，直到我真的被嫌煩為止！

校（笑）園漫畫大王

左邊這傢伙叫大阪，是這部四格漫畫的要角之一。其實她原來不叫大阪，因為她來自大阪，就被同班的阿智(也是要角啦)擅自強行把大阪當成她的外號。久之，大家也就忘記她原來的本名。至於她的本名被遺忘到啥程度呢？重新分班的時候，分班名單上沒有她的姓名，只剩下"大阪"。說真的，其實我現在談這個作品已經遲了整整兩年，要不是因為正好看見Cartoon Network的播出，果人還真不知有這麼好笑的作品。這部作品真正讓果人產生往下看的動力，就是大阪這個角色--說話慢吞吞的，結尾不時嗯呀啊的，說出來的話往往使人意料不到的完全沒有邏輯可言，但整部作品有許多的笑點全是出自大阪的"話"。
由於動畫作品的吸引，果人禁不住想要一窥原作漫畫是否也是如此？入手之後，發現一個比較悲慘的盲點：經過動畫活靈活現的摧殘之後，居然覺得原作有那麼一點失色的感覺。幸運的是，這種感覺在看完第一冊半本時已經消失無蹤的→真的很好笑，尤其是大阪的部份。漫畫和動畫都是以高中三年的時間來刻畫主角們的生活，而動畫版最讓人佩服的是將原本的四格漫畫重新打散，缺又不失原作故事內容與笑點的狀況下化為足以讓人狂笑半小時的劇集。且在不影響的情況下，增刪原有的笑點(通常狀況是增多刪少)。總而言之，這部作品不論是原版的四格漫畫或是現正熱映的動畫版本都算是無俚頭搞笑的上乘之作，讓人狂笑的威力比起傻瓜青蛙是有過之而無不及。啥！你不知道傻瓜青蛙是誰？那你真的粉久沒看電視了。還是，果人太閒啦？

美國和星際聯邦誰的科技比較好？

每隔一陣子，Star Trek討論版就會出現這種無聊問題：Star Trek和Star Wars誰的科技比較進步？當然，這種問題一丟出來，最初的反應總是非常火紅的，可以吸引兩方果人舌戰。隨著這種問題被提出的次數增加，雙方論戰的熱情也隨之遞減。不巧，這種問題上週又現，為了表示無聊，果人也提出了更無聊的問題(如題所述)。反正我心想，我已經夠無聊了，那回我的人不是更無聊？結果，在我自己的個人版上，居然可以引出這樣的結論，雖然沒有得出宇宙的中心是仲間這類有趣的結論，但挺有娛樂效果的。特與諸公分享嘻笑之。

果人：既然有人喜歡鬧，那我也來湊一腳好了！我想，應該是美國科技比較好吧？！區區好萊塢用特效拍出的戲劇就可以把一堆人唬的一愣一愣的，還煞有其事的吸引一堆人來擦屁屁！可見美國的科技比較好。因為，星聯的科技都是美國人用電腦創造出來的。XD

難瓜：這讓我想到一個比較法：很近很近的現代，因為美國存在而星聯不存在，所以美國 X:0 獲勝。很遠很遠的未來，因為美國不存在而星聯存在，所以星聯 0:Y 獲勝。---不過發現有件很重要的事情我忘記了，星聯和美國有沒有同時存在過啊？

果人：這種比法也還說的通，反正誰知道未來這兩者會不會存在！不過，我猜都不會存在的啊！誰知道哪天美國50州全部獨立或是被墨西哥給吃掉了？再不就是被憤怒的回教徒給淹了？星聯啊！還得找到足夠的外星果人才能成立喔！這更是前途未卜。至於星聯和美國是否同時存在的問題，搞不好有過，搞的好就沒有。

兔子：應該沒有，我記得星聯成立前好像就變成大地球共榮圈(TM)政府了？

難瓜：根據http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/United_States中所述：As a political entity, the United States still seem to exist into the late 24th century. (VOY: "Imperfection").沒想到星聯和美國還真的有同時存在過。不過美國後來加入了 United Earth，後者組織是 Coalition of Planets 這個聯盟的創始成員之一，這個聯盟是 United Federation of Planets 的前身。那麼美國在星聯成立的時候就已經是其中的一分子，所以美國的科技都是星聯科技的一部分。再加上星聯其他成員的科技不算是美國的科技，結論就是：在美國與星聯同時存在的年代，美國科技低於或同等於星聯科技。

備註：星聯乃星際聯邦之省稱，原文是United Federation of Planets，庶幾可直譯為行星聯盟。

AM wet shotcrete refractory for Ladle

I do this project almost one year and do nothing in progress. Without a wet-gunning machine, I have no idea how to evaluate the effect of setting accelerators to the current recipe. I only know that the setting accelerator can increase the viscosity of refractory mixture suddenly, that is, change the rheological behavior of that. However, changing the rheological behavior does not mean that the AM wet shotcrete mixture can bond on the area of lade to be lined. Unfortunately, the current results is that the projected wet shorcrete mixture does flow over the back lining refractory surface. Ommm, what's my next step? I am not sure. I was polite to request the sales force to ask a customer to lend us a wet gunning machine. Due to no budget to prochase a wet gunning machine, to borrow one from the customer may be a possible approach to execute this project smooth and continually. Sign!

The third day after arriving my hotel, Villa Scarpariello, located near Ravello, a part of rhe coast of Amalfi, I decided to take a walk to visit Minori. It is not so far. It only takes me 25 minutes to go to there. Before I left the hotel, I ask one staff working there which restaurant is the best at Minori. He said," You wanna enjoy Italian food?" to me. I replied Yes. Without a consideration, he recommanded that the stuff of Giardiniello is worth to taste and eat and then gave me a brochure about Giadiniello. According to the upside photo, it seves pizza and wine. Actually, it also serves salad, spaghetti, beer, and other local delicacies. The down one shows pizza, one of my lunch. Does Pizza must be a circle? The answer is No! The ingrediants of this one are quit simple, only pizza cake, cheese, fresh tomato source and vegetables, but it tastes delicious. It is quit different to American style pizza, such as Pizza Hut, with lots of stuff. What? You ask how many people can share this pizza. The menu tells me that this one is for two people. Minori

Along the southwesturn coast of Italy, there are many small towns, such as Positano, Amalfi, Salerno, with a beach. Minori is one of them and its scale is smaller than Amalfi and Positano. In the right picture, you can see a belltower, a characteristic building in all towns along the coast of Amalfi. Behind the belltower, there is a church, another characteristic construction belonging to towns along the Amalfi coast, under reconstruction. Someone may ask why not to post a picture to show this town and its beach. I select this photo to illustrate the common characters, belltower and church, of all towns which I visited there along the coast of Amalfi. Limoncello

I knew this product from Passport to Europe, a program of Discovery Travel and Living Channel before I begun my trip to Italy. According to the indroduction on that show, it tastes sweet and smooth. It sounds like Ice wine. So, I decided to taste it by myself. Limoncello is a local alcohol product of southwestern coast of Italy. It is made from alcohol, suger, and lemom and looks like a beautiful yellow translucent liquid. This liquir is best served cool in iced glasses. Befroe drinking, I seem to sniff the aroma of fresh lemon. After swallwing, it tastes sweet with lemon flavor, smooth but its texture is similar to spirits. It's a great experience that I can not forget during my trip to Italy. Therefore, someone plans a trip to the southwestern coast of Italy and I will strong recommand her/him to taste Limoncello. Why? It's worth to give a try due to its sweet flavor with light aroma of fresh lemon.

They were built by my friend and his friends, engineers of SE, in the garden, located in front of the hotel we stayed. I missed this chance to build them because I stayed in my room. It was a little pitty to me but my own decision. However, my friend ever went back to grap something to build these two snowmen and told me that I can go to appreciate their work if I am interesting before he left the room. Therefore, I decided to join them to make a snowman. It was too late to join them because they had done works, as shown in the right photo. To shoot a photo was the only thing that I can do there. Of course! It is impossible that I only took this one.

Schloss Neuschwanstein

Schloss Neuscheanstein was built by King Ludwig II, the last king of Bavaria. It's also the prototype castle on Disney animation, Sleeping Beauty. Schloss Neuschwanstein locates in Schwangau, a small town near the border between Deutschland and Austria. In its neighborhood, there is another castle, called Hohenschwangau. It is not as beautiful as Neuschwanstein. But, it is still worth to visit. Near Schloss Hohenschwangu, there is a lake called Alp ( Alpsee in Deutsch). The scence along the lake is also worth to appreciate. If you finish your Schloss tour there, do not miss the Lake Alp. Ops, I forget to introduce the word, Schloss. It means castle in German. Ok! After pointing the focus there, I should explain how to get there. First step is to get Muenchen (Munich) and buy a DB (Deutsch Bahn, means German Rail) ticket to Fuessen. As you arrive Fuessen, you can find the shuttle bus to Schwangau. To take that bus, you can get there, conduct some information at i, and then find several pathways to go to Schloss Neuschwanstein. You can choose a way you like depending on your budget. Moreover, it's necessary that you have to buy a ticket, get there in time, and the staff working in Neuschwanstein will allow you to visit the inside. 在登別熊牧場展覽館頂樓照的，叫啥我也不記得了，反正就是照下來了，也算是親眼見到一個過去只在書上看到的名詞。這張照片被果人一個教國中地理的朋友要去，雖然不知道用途為何，也只能大概猜猜可能是為了教學上的舉例吧！雖然這照片不怎樣，但慶幸總還有一點做為教育上的價值和貢獻。

這沒啥！純粹只是蠟筆小新看太多的後遺症。但說真的，在雪地上仆街幾秒鐘後，沒戴手套的雙手就覺得快凍僵了，跑去洗手間洗手也沒用，因為水也很冰。還好，購物中心有放幾台電暖器，把手靠過去一會兒就好了。沒有凍傷，算是好的。反正，這種無聊的事情別再做就好了。O_0

回程時看的第二部影片。

這種戲在好萊塢算是老題材，類似的有威爾史密斯的全民情聖，遠一點的則有一部敘述某美女要在某幾天釣上一個帥哥並把他拋棄的一部我已經忘記片名的電影！！

基本上不脫對立的兩方為了某種打賭或是利益而千方百計設計對方上鉤以墜入情網，結果全都擦槍走火........

基本上都是喜劇啦！是沒啥好評的，只不過這類的戲對果人來說有種魔力，算是帶種羨慕的情緒在看熱鬧，然後結尾再莫名奇妙的被小感動，就是這樣。

莎拉潔西卡派克在本劇中顯得比慾望城市來的豐腴，果人反而覺得她更美，當然，審美觀個個不同，也就不多所著墨了。

至於馬修麥康納，之前對他毫無所悉，大概也談不上對他的演技或是表現了！

總之，這部戲不用上電影院、不用花錢弄DVD，只銷有機會電視或是飛機上觀賞後一笑置之，當成一場與喜劇式愛情童話的相逢就好了。至於戲中所點出了停滯不前的問題，我拿STDS9(Star Trek:Deep Space Nine，中譯銀河前哨)開頭席班爵中校與蟲洞先知的對話作呼應好了：人類不是線性的動物！剩下的，大家自己衍生吧！

藝妓回憶錄

小說依照慣例還是沒看過，所以還是談不上原著和電影有啥不同。最近真的很巧，看過的幾部電影，包括哈利波霸4.....是哈利波特4、什麼傳奇....是納尼亞(發音與日文的甚麼相同)傳奇、海神號和本片，都是先有小說才有電影的。不管了！以下是果人的觀後感：

故事很簡單：敘述千代(章子怡飾)欲藉由成為藝妓來追尋夢想的過程，外加四個女人，初桃(鞏俐飾)、豆葉(楊紫瓊飾)、千代和南瓜(演員我不認識)，的戰爭。故事的敘述十分平淡，衝突點則一次次埋伏在對話與舞蹈之中，當然，熟悉日本藝妓文化的人或許會對本片的敘述相當不以為然；可是，如果把焦點放在一個女孩子為了幸福而奮鬥上，庶幾可淡化本片對於日本藝妓文化描述之不足吧？老實說，我從頭到尾都不知道片中哪一點對於藝妓文化有錯誤的敘述，但也無礙於我看片的情緒。在配樂方面，我覺得John Williams超受譚盾的影響，加上請到馬友友助陣，使得配樂的風格頗有臥虎藏龍的影子。就算不是抄襲而是學習好了，會不會有損大師的風範啊？唔......可是本片配樂榮獲金球獎，這就讓我很難判斷了。總之，這是一部可以在電視上看的影片，喜歡章子怡的影迷也可買塊DVD回家珍藏，至於文化敘述上的不正確，那就留給專家去傷腦筋吧！

札幌的街頭

左圖是在上班時間照的，地點在札幌舊官廳附近。除了氣溫低一點、光禿的樹枝、語言不通、女孩子臉上都畫了妝之外，基本上這個城市上班的狀況跟台北市沒兩樣。大家都在往上班途中移動，對照出我這個悠閒的死觀光客，沒事照人家上班時間的街景。說真的，在舊官廳停留的時間很短，也無法待到開放的時辰，能照的都照了，所以只好把眼光放到街道上。o_Oa

至於那些被我當成照片主角的人們心裡會怎麼想，我實在沒底。我猜啦！其實大部分的人是不會注意我這個觀光客在做啥的。因為，有誰會無聊到注意街邊有個死肥ㄆㄧㄚˇ在照相，而主角正是自己？

函館山夜景

北海道之行的最後一站。聽說世界上有三大夜景：函館，香港和拿波里。那我就算看過其中一個了（另外一個下個月要去）囉！左邊的照片大約是傍晚四點半以後照的，因為數位相機爛，所以再晚照的照片都看不出來山下的燈火夜景了。只有這張勉強不及格，但至少跟我買的明信片接近。我想，如果我有一台可以調光圈和曝光時間的相機，那就可以照到更棒的照片了嗯！這裡真的很適合有伴的人去，可惜果人只有一隻而已，我的朋友全都有伴了。只好在那座山上東找找西晃晃，照點不一樣的東西，看看上面的紀念碑長點常識罷了。

冬天的洞爺湖

這張是從溫沙公爵飯店房間照出去的，跟五個人說有四個不相信。去年跑去北海道玩，照了些風景回來。這張聽我朋友的評論是：可以當桌布的照片。我倒是覺得普普啦！洞爺湖是日本第三大湖，也是緯度最高的不凍湖。因為水深夠，所以冬天不結冰。由於是在清晨拍的，恰好適逢北海道好天氣，所以可以從這張照片看出北海道的優點所在--真是個適合人居住的好地方。有人問果人，何時去北海道最好？我想了想，回了他一句話：四季風情話。我想，下次應該改成夏天去北海道，而且要自己去，別跟團。跟團好累啊！STO

星期六上班

回到台北來，回到工廠，大概也快兩年了，讓我最無法適應的就是隔週休二日。換言之，一個月至少有兩個星期六要工作。挖哩咧！以前在研究機構待久了，總覺得週休二日是稀鬆平常的。現在只要想到從前的同事今天都在放大假，而我卻要到公司的實驗室報到，就老覺得有些不平衡。嗯........平常有事情做也就算了，可偏偏果人最近就是工作意願低落，加上手中的一個開發專案一直沒有做出顯著的成效--摸了快一年，啥撈什子的突破也沒有--更顯的今天果人不想做事的企圖心。唉！反正今天老闆不在，沒人管的著果人。

Last year, I attended a refractory conference in CSC, Kaohsiung and gave a speech about how to overcome the crack of refractory castables. I thought my performance was not as well as others who also attended this conference but I could answer all questions at least. As so far, I finished my speech just in time, fiteen minutes, no more no less. In my personal oponion, there should be another guy to give a speech there this year. It means that I am not involved again this year. Well, God will determine everyone's fate. Several days ago, my superier told me that he had registered the confenrence this year for me and I will have another speech about the recently R&D results in that. What the hell! It never rains but it pours. Why ME? Is ther no one else who can give a speech in my conpany? It's not fair. If my superier does so, I will become the one who gives twice talks at the same place in the two consecutive years recently. Doesn't my superier care what the other crafts think if I stand on the same stage again? Ommm......I do not worry. It's his own buniess. I only need to prepare some jokes, relax, and....things can be better after all. Exact speaking, I don't care about that.

!?Birthday?!

Although the birthday means the day that I came to the world from somewhere, I still consider this day is one day like the other day in one year, nothing special. Mmmm.....my birthday has passed by. Why do I mention it? I just read my favorite friend's birthday note and something coms into my brain. I don't remember when was my last birthday party and I don't have any impression about a birthday celebrated by my family. Even though I see some photos noted a birthday party in my early childhood, I have no idea who will be interesting on my birthday. Moreover, I do not understand why does some guys like to celebrate his/her birthday. I may use my birthday as an excuse to invite some of my friends to get together and enjoy some delicacies. I never feel that way in which is a good idea to pass my birthday. I always think that way in which is just a kind of social behavior. Since I have my own memory, I never get a birthday benediction from my friends til I know my favorite friend, the first one who give me a birthday blessing voluntarily every year. Nowaday, my birthday becomes one day that reminds me to give my favorite friend whom was born in April 8 a birthday blessing. And I think I found the meaning of birthday - to concern someone, especially my parents, you really care of and do not forget to express your solicitude in time.

In Memory of Andreas Katsulas

Andreas Katsulas was famous for the role, Ambassador G'Kar from Narn, on a Sci-fi drama Babylon 5. According to TrekToday, he also acted several charactors on Star Trek : The Next Generation and its prequel series Enterprise. On Star Trek, he played Tomalok, the Romulan commander from "The Enemy", "The Defector", "Future Imperfect" and series finale "All Good Things..." He also played the Vissian captain in Enterprise's "Cogenitor." Frankly speaking, I have no impression about his performance on Star Trek. XD

It is a pity that he died this week of lung cancer. Andreas Katsulas is the second main actor as the fans know died in severed decease. The first is Richard Biggs, performed Dr. Stephen Franklin, who passed away on May 22, 2004. Though these two actor passed away, their excellent performance on Babylon 5 will be printed in fans' memory eternally.

Refractory Castables

I have worked and done several projects in this field for one and half years, almost. I am still confusing theory with practice(I mean the experimental results). Thermal shock resistance, for example, is the most important property to the Al2O3-MgO refracoory castable used for a steel-making ladle. There are several approach, including the grain size distribution, the high alumina content cement, MgO powder, type of alumina powder and its different ratio combination, to enhance the thermal shock resistance of Al2O3-MgO refractory castable. I have been tried the different size distribution of MgO powder, different combined ratio of alumina powder, different high alimuna content cement, and different additives. None of them can give a significant and positive effect to increase its thermal shock resistance. Is there any detail that I do not notice and involve? May I use a wrong test to evaluate the thermal shock resistance? I totally have no idea to face the trouble I am suffering from right now. One of the R & D elders in the refractory industry told me, " It will cost someone who has a strong intention in recfractory three or more then three years to have a clear concept to involve." Alas! I am so green that I can't comprehend the key point of refractory castable. The biggest trouble to me is the intention - I only have a weak intention.

1.松隆子：沒意外的話，我覺得她的外型跟大姐姐沒兩樣
2.小西真奈美：同樣是長髮披肩的造型，唯一和中谷不同的是，小西在鏡頭上會比較cute吧？！
3.島谷瞳：看過她在我的蹺佳人裡的表現，以她的外型來說，飾演愛瑪仕小姐根本比她唱歌還容易
4.菅野美穗：跟中谷同等級的，愛瑪仕小姐給她演應該也不會引起太多意見才是
5.篠原涼子：她在鏡頭前可能會比小西真奈美還cute，這也是麻煩之一
6.中山美穗：如果你不考慮年紀的話，她在鏡頭前夢幻起來可不比伊東差；其實，她妹妹中山忍可能還更適合
7.水野美紀：給她演，應該很適合
8.稻森泉：雖然她不是一線的，但應該不輸中谷美紀吧
9.木村佳乃：很久沒看過她的戲了，雖然不太算一線女演員，雖然也不太有大姐姐味道，如果不想太夢幻的話，愛瑪仕小姐也挺適合她的

納尼亞傳奇

又一部號稱奇幻大作改編的電影，更巧的是，我也沒有看過原著。這種巧合就跟我去年看哈利波特四一樣，一樣不會去比較與原著之間的差異性。比起哈利波特四，這戲顯然光明燦爛許多，更沒有滲入真實世界的黑暗面，很適合小朋友看(可我在電影院裡看到的盡是熟透的傢伙)。不過，顯然我是黑暗的戲劇看太多了，如此光明的納尼亞顯得無聊許多，但不至於會讓我想睡覺，雖然我已經很累很累了。

納尼亞的故事很簡單，衣櫥、獅王、人類和正邪大戰；結局也很簡單，可憐的白女巫被獅王給掛掉了，世界恢復和平，四兄妹也再次回到人類世界。故事的鋪陳就註定了結尾，所謂格局決定一切。再一次的，犧牲小我、背叛、誘惑、神諭等特徵充斥著整部電影，何時才可以看到邪必勝正的電影啊？嗯........有得等了。

其次，我個人感覺這戲的敘述實在很悶，沒有很多可以讓人發笑的橋段、也沒有更多讓人看了血脈噴張的動作場景、更沒有一個讓人感同身受的角色被掛，也甭提最後的大戰--不能說無聊至極，但也談不上驚心動魄，恐怕連中規中矩的等級也沒有啊！哀哉！

好吧！那這戲有何優點咧？我總不能一直ㄍㄧㄠˇ吧！說實話，一時半刻我也想不到啊！有了！那隻叫露西的羅莉不錯(我是羅莉控啊?!)，她姊姊蘇珊(又變成御姊控了!?)也不壞。除此之外，我真的想不到有哪裡可以讓我大為讚揚的。

最後我想再多嘴一句，就是迪士尼的老毛病--老是把動物寫的很有人性。是啊！我家的臭皮是很乖，可你把牠惹毛了，還是會不客氣的咬你一口，更別說你同牠搶晚餐了！

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

All right! This is my first Potter movie in theater. Thanks for IMAX system that provides the best vision quality. I have an oppertunity to enjoy the latest one and get a window to see the Potter's world - the darkside. I don't read any one of the original novels therefore I cannot tell the gap between the original and the movie. Just like the three previous ones, the story always locks on Potter and his nemesis, the Dark Lord Voldemort.

One thing that I never understand is why does every evil lord in all fantasy care about his own foe so much? Revenge or conquest of whole world, which one is the most important for a mighty Mr. or Mrs. evil? The answer in Hollywood movies is always clouded by the script writer. However, it is always a cliched end that the good guy defeats the evil one, not including the fourth Potter production. After I watched this movie, the first feeling came into my brain is astonishment. I question why does a movie for kids contain a little of conspirasy, a little of political staff, lot of romance, and a lots of Die Leiden Des Jungen Werthers? Fortunately, this movie enters PG-13 territory - it means that some parts in this are not for all kids. In other words, some material may be inappropriate for children under 13. Should we tell the kids that the real world is so much cruel in this way? If the answer is yes, how do we discuss the dark side of our society with kids? Just tell them that you have your friends, like the way of Prof. Dumbledore in the end of this movie?

My critique and complaint are almost over. Frankly, it's totally a standard Hollywood production. You can find friendship, love story, funny scences, junk dialogs, action, exiting adventure, and all elements used in Hollywood movies in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. If you can ignore the impertinent discussion about the dark side and shadow of humanity, the fourth Potter movie will provide the best entertainment and it only takes you 2.5 hours. Why not call your friends and have a wonderful experience with Potter, Hermione, and Ron?

The full name of this ray gun is Personnel Halting and Stimulation Response (PHASR) rifle. It means that the beam fired by this one can disable one enemy soilder's sense in a short time and stop his next step. According to the New Scientist Breaking News, this weapon could used to temporarily blind suspects who drive through a roadblock. After I read this news from newsscientist.com, I recall my memory and make sure that I heard and read the rumor about this laser rifle from newspapers that US military declared to develop one ray gun that can cause the temporarily ablepsia many many years ago. At this moment, I feel exciting and feel lucky that I can see a real laser gun in my limited life. However, why does its abbreviation look like the abbreviation of Phased Energy Rectification (Phaser, one typical ray gun in Star Trek)? Is any one involving this project a Trekker or a Trekkie?

Comparing with its brothers, such as Blaster, Ray gun, Laser rifle, P.P.G(Phased Plaster Gun, one pistol in Babylon 5), in Sci-fi movies or series, the power of PHASR, however, is much more weak. How disappointment! Don't be so sad! The rifle is only the prototype of PHASR. The US military expresses that the weapon won't heart people's body but only the eyesight in temporary. Do not expect its performance as powerful as its brothers in Sci-fi stuff. I believe that US military will display a more powerful version of PHASR in the future. Although the technology is not the key barrier to develop PHASR, which reason will prohibit its development? The answer lies in UN protocal - Laser weapons capable of blinding enemies have been developed in the past but were banned under a 1995 UN convention called the Protocol on Blinding Laser Weapons. If Uncle Sam wants to develop and mass product this stuff continuously in the future, he should find some reasons to convince the UN assembly that PHASR does not violate the Protocal on Blinding Laser Weapons. Ironically, Uncle Sam does not alway obey the decision or protocal of United Nations.

Next Generation of TOEFL

ETS has declared that new toefl containing speaking ability will launch in next April in Taiwan. It's a good and a bad news for me. It is good that I am not affraid of speaking and bad that I don't have enough words to express what I want to discuss. I took TOEFL CBT twice and my score were so so - the graduate school may accept my application but may ask me to take one semester of English. Moreover, new toefl require that every test taker takes 30 - 45 seconds to organize the expression and then answer in 30 - 45 seconds. It is the key that you have to pay more attention to catch the key points and words from what you listen to. That is also one trouble to me because my duration of listening concentation is so poor and so weak that I can pay enough patience for a long lecture. In the past, I use my comprehesion to handle all english test. It works perfectly. Now, I acknowledge that I should use more vacabulary and speak them with good flexibility to survive in the new generation of toefl if I really want and prepare myself well for the study in US or in Canada.

Took a flight to downsouth, waited in a noisy and dusty enviroment for couple of hours, and executed carefully step by step, the third trial was failed totally. It meant that the last opportunity involving the self-flow refractory castables for the blast furnance constructing was gone. In my personal opinion(plus my colleage's), there are two major points causing the fail : one is the viscosity of mortar and another is the power of pumping mechine. At this moment, I don't want to waste time to give the details. I may discuss in my next essay, may I?! If we can not overcome or try to fulfill the power of pumping mechine, we may reduce the viscosity. In one word, we may not know well the key technique of self-flow refractory castable. Alas, fail is fail, a loser can not defend or debate for himself. I do not know that mey we get any chance again to modify this fail, but I am sure that there will be a strom in office tomorrow no doult. I have nothing to explain, do not want to give a word for controverting, get ready to prepare for the worst, and just tell the situation frankly. Anyway, the business is totally screwed out by the R&D ourself.

Self-flow Castable Crisis Passed Away?

Previously I mentioned on this topic, it was still on the small scale test. Due to the sucess in Lab., my superior decided the mass production. Raw material weighed and Chemicals prepared were all available without any error. Through mixed with Eirich High Speed Mixer made by Deutchland, sampling and testing were fullfil the ecperimental data. Everything looked like so smooth. The day the in-situ workablility test came, the test sample was plugged in the hose. As the sale informed this bad news, the superior requested to exam all self-flow product. The nightmare had came. All product was out of control. Too many variables were needed to check and narrow dawn them. After a long time struggle, my sueprior and I locked on the fine alumina powder and the mixing time and tried to adjust them. At this moment, the quility of self-flow castable mass product is stable. The third batch test sample was sent yesterday. But, I still worry about the third in-situ workability test.

All right! It's me again, Scifi nut and indulvidoul. Who is Commander Adama? He is the key role in Battlestar Galactica, a Sci-fi TV series in US. But..., which one is? Right or left? Both of them are. The left is Commander Adama, played by Edward James Olmos, in the reimagining Battlestar Galactica, aired on Scifi Channel now. The right, performed by Lorne Greene, died in 1987, is in the original series, aired in 1978. What's the difference between there two Adama? In the original series, Adama is the leader of Colony Caprica, a member of 12 coloniel council, and the C.O. of Battlestar Galactica. On the other hand, in the original series, Adama is a politician, also a military leader. In the reimagining version, he is just only a commanding officier of Battlestar Galactica. After Cylon destroyed the 12 colonies, Commander Adama leads the rag fleet in search of the 13th colony, call Earth. Although there are many differences between these two version of Adama, they are both the critical character in this TV series. Without Commader Adama, it is unbearable.

Ya! Since I waked up this morning, I decided to waste my time all day long, do nothing on any projects, chat with somebody on MSN, take a neap, and ....... That's right. It isn't easy to me. My English is very very poor, especially in so-called vocabulary. For example, the word " show" means performance, an action to express, indication, an event to demonstrate or illustrate...etc. I may only use "show" in my essay, my talk, my dialog, or my webblog. Why? There are so many synonyms about "show". You can not always type show show show show in your stuff. It is clear that my brain capacity is not capable of memorising lots of English words. Otherwise, I really really hate to memorise all day long. I should search an alternative to adapt or overcome this awful situation. I may have a long long road to crawl.

It is funny that a novel castable can flow without vibration. Its excellent fluidity is able to fulfill any kind shape of mold and pack them well. To achieve this amazing property, there are three primary criteria as the follows. The ratio of particle grain and fine powder is between 1.5 and 2.0. A cover castable for the arc furnance

There might be one possible way to solve the unbonding water floating on the surface of cover castable. I am not so sure that this way can be practical. By reducing superplastic content and using 6% small white fused alumina particle, the unbonding water floating on the surface of cover castable can be terminated. What a wonderful recipe!

Al2O3/MgO castable for Ladle

Is everything under way and on schedule? I can't tell. It's clear that low water mixing, good flow property and strong mechanical property can be achieved. By reducing MgO content ,adding good quaility of Al2O3 fine powder ( not mention it made by mainland China), and introducing a superplastic, PLC can be controlled under + 0.80 ~ 1.10% and CCS can be reached 90Mpa at least. Camparing with the costum's specification, the sample seems to surpass it. However. it is uncertain how the costum evaluates a new Al2O3/MgO castable source which is satisfied or not fitted to ladle. At this moment, I have no idea to assess my experiment results about Al2O3/MgO castable for Ladle.

這又是啥？這是果人在Babylon 5影集裡面最喜歡的太空船，也許火力和造型都不是頂好的，不過，她看起來挺酷的。其次，她的設計挺符合物理學的基本原理--用旋轉所產生的離心力來模擬重力，這可比時下其他知名的科幻影集都合理的多。
