Self-flow refractory castable

It is funny that a novel castable can flow without vibration. Its excellent fluidity is able to fulfill any kind shape of mold and pack them well. To achieve this amazing property, there are three primary criteria as the follows. The ratio of particle grain and fine powder is between 1.5 and 2.0. The lower water mixing, the better mechanical properties can be attained. And one last, it is very very important to select an adequate admixture to icrease the fluidity and reduce the water in use. In addtion, the secondary rule for making self-flow refractory castable is the cement. If you select a wrong cement, you will find that the admixture you selected is useless. Okay! I had told lots of key point. I think I should shut up immediately.

A cover castable for the arc furnance

There might be one possible way to solve the unbonding water floating on the surface of cover castable. I am not so sure that this way can be practical. By reducing superplastic content and using 6% small white fused alumina particle, the unbonding water floating on the surface of cover castable can be terminated. What a wonderful recipe!
